The Pioneers have started the new season 9-2 and have outscored opponents 812-656.
After going 16-14 last season and losing to Perry in the second round of the open state playoffs, Pinnacle has looked significantly better.

They have lost to only Gilbert and Hamilton this season, each by just three points. It is clear that the Pioneers are playing at an elite level and should be treated as such for the remainder of the season.
Perry Picks It Up
After losing three out of four games, the Pumas have put together two straight dominating victories against St. Mary’s and Boulder Creek.
The defending open state champions are 7-3 on the season and have outscored opponents 697-494.

Despite some tough losses early on, Perry will look to get a string of victories together and build some momentum heading into the open state playoffs.
Matchup Outlook
This will be a true test for both teams as each is playing at an elite level this season.
The Pumas are attempting to become back-to-back champions, as Pinnacle is looking to make a playoff run.
