Thunder Keep It Rolling

After starting the season 2-0, Desert Vista has now won four straight games.

The Thunder (4-2) are averaging 74.5 points a game over the last four and have looked much improved from last season.

The team went just 4-21 this past season and ended the season with nine straight losses

Desert Vista has undoubtedly improved significantly and will look to make a run at the 6A or even open state playoffs.

Mountain View Takes Big Loss

The Toros (5-3) have started the new season being on and off. They are 4-1 at Home and have outscored opponents 444-397.

They have excelled defensively and proven to be able to compete with high-level teams.

Despite this blowout loss to Desert Vista,  Mountain View continues to be a dangerous team in the 6A and should not be taken lightly.

Up Next

The Thunder’s next game comes on Monday, Dec. 18 against the 15-5 Fort Worth Christian Cardinals of Texas. This is an extremely tough out-of-state matchup that gives Desert Vista some much-needed experience against an elite team.

Mountain View faces the 5-2 Hialeah Educational Academy of Flordia on Monday as well.

Each team has a long rest of the season and will look to make playoff runs in February.
