Sunnyslope Basketball Looks to Make Another Run

The Sunnyslope Vikings made an improbable deep run during Arizona’s first-ever open state championship last season.

Incredible Run

The team entered the bracket as the No. 10 seed but quickly made some noise.

They won four straight games, including a 23-point victory against Basha in the semifinal.

Sunnyslope then advanced to the state championship to play the No. seed Perry Pumas, but fell short 74-58.

The Vikings have started the new season 2-2 and want to replicate that run with a different result.

Championship Rematch

They get a chance at some revenge from last season as they face the Pumas (4-2) at home in their next game. The teams will play on Dec. 8 @7 p.m.

Sunnyslope has not started the season in an ideal way but has an opportunity to prove they are still an elite team in this rematch game. Make sure to tune in.
