Quarterback Josh Dobbs has had turbulent tenure in with the Arizona Cardinals before it was cut short yesterday as he will now be heading to the Minnesota Vikings.

But, after his departure, what kind of legacy does Dobbs leave behind as fans from the valley had mixed reviews on his performances?
Time as a Cardinal
Originally, Dobbs arrived in Glendale on Aug. 24 after being dealt by the Cleveland Browns for a 5th round pick in next year’s draft.
Since 2017, Dobbs has been on the Pittsburgh Steelers twice, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Browns twice, Titans, Cardinals and now the Vikings.
While in Arizona, Dobbs was immediately named the starting quarterback while Kyler Murray continued to rehab from an ACL injury.
In 8 games, Dobbs would start in each one as the Cardinals were 1-7 with him as their QB.
Moreover, he threw 167 completed passes for 1569 yards while also recording 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
As the progression of Murray’s return to the field was near and Arizona struggled in his absence, fans have argued that one was better than the other and had no compromise.
Furthermore, Murray came back from injured reserve on Oct. 18 and looks to be make his 2023 debut anytime now.
Back on Oct. 30, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that either Murray or rookie quarterback Clayton Tune were going start against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 5 after previously stating Dobbs would.
As a result, Dobbs’ role went from being the starter to Arizona’s third string not even 24 hours later.
Soon, speculation around Dobbs’ future as a Cardinal came under question before eventually being traded on Halloween.
