In a complete-180, Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has revealed that quarterback Josh Dobbs will no longer be the starter in their Week 9 matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 5.

Just yesterday, after their 31-24 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, Gannon stated that Dobbs would be the go-to-guy versus the Browns.

With the media today, however, Gannon said that Murray’s progression towards a return has looked promising and Clayton Tune may get his shot as well Sunday, meaning Dobbs will be the odd man out.

“We are going to keep ramping up Kyler and see how he progresses throughout the week,” Gannon said.” If it’s not Kyler, it’s Clayton Tune.”

Murray has yet to make his 2023 first NFL appearance after suffering an ACL injury last December against the New England Patriots.

However, since Oct. 18 when being designated to return from injured reserve, Murray has made strides to making a comeback and it looks inevitable at this point.

As for Tune, he made his NFL debut against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 22 and threw 1 completed pass for 4 yards.

With Josh Dobbs, it is unknown if he will have a part to play against the Browns.

Now, more developments around this situation will continue to develop, so stay tuned to Burn City Sports for more.
