As reported yesterday, multiple NFL insiders stated that Cardinals QB Kyler Murray’s had a huge chance of returning against Cleveland.
However, when asked about who would get the nod, Gannon told reporters, after the 31-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 29, that Dobbs is the guy he will depend on in Week 9.
This means that Murray will have to wait for his chance to start for another week.
Still, Murray is trying to get back into game shape and Gannon feels more comfortable with Dobbs at the moment.
Since Oct. 18, Murray has been practicing after the Cardinals designated him to come off of the injured reserve.
After 10 months being sidelined with an ACL injury, there is still time for Murray to be activated to the 53-man roster.
On the other hand, the Cardinals will have to make the move before Nov. 8 as if they don’t before the three-week practice window deadline, Murray would be ruled ineligible to suit-up for an NFL game this season.
