Burn City Best Bets: World Series Game Three – DraftKings Edition

Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo watches batting practice prior to Game 3 against the Texas Rangers in the World Series at Chase Field.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are at home for game three of the world series and are coming off of a massive win in Texas. Arizona is throwing rookie starter Brandon Pfaadt tonight, and they’re facing veteran starter, Mad Max Scherzer. We’re going to take a look at what bets DraftKings has to offer for tonight.

Game Lines

For the first time in what feels like forever, the Diamondbacks aren’t plus money. Arizona has a money line currently set at -108 for game three. The Rangers have a money line set at -112. Arizona had a blowout win in game two with a score of 9-1. The Diamondbacks are also coming home for game three, where they played really well in the NLCS. Brandon Pfaadt is on the hill, and he is coming off an electric NLCS where he pitched two great games against Philly. Including an amazing start in hostile Philly. For all those reasons, I’m riding with the Diamondbacks. Getting blown out like that is demoralizing.

Pitcher Props

As well as I think Brandon Pfaadt will pitch, I don’t think the Rangers offense will draw a blank again. I like Pfaadt over 4.5 hits allowed. Merrill Kelly allowed just three hits to the Rangers in game two, but this Rangers offense is a good one. I also like Brandon Pfaadt to go over 4.5 strike outs. Against the Phillies Pfaadt punched out seven hitters in game seven of the NLCS and is riding a ton of momentum into tonight. The last pitcher prop I’ll play is Brandon Pfaadt over 13.5 outs recorded. If Pfaadt is throwing well, he’s going to go at least into the fifth. The Diamondbacks let Merrill Kelly go seven complete because he was throwing a gem, I expect the same from Pfaadt.

Hitter Props

Ketel Marte has a hits line set at 0.5 and I’m riding that until the well runs dry. Marte is on a historic post season hit streak and really, I’m just trying to be a part of it. The line is set at -235, but I don’t care, we’re riding with Marte.  I love Corbin Carroll over 1.5 total bases. After struggling in the NLCS he really turned it on in game seven of that series. Ever sense then, Carroll has been lighting up the base path. For the last hitter prop, I’m going to throw in a high odds bet, which we all love. Alek Thomas to swipe a bag is currently set at +700. I love it, the Diamondbacks have been so aggressive on the base path and with his speed, he’s grabbing a bag if he gets on base.

The stars will be out at Chase Field for Game 3
