Adding to the accolades, Cy Young-winning pitcher David Cone has drawn a compelling comparison between Carroll and Yankees icon Derek Jeter. While their positions on the field may differ, Cone recognizes Carroll’s exceptional leadership qualities.

Not only did Derek Jeter take home Rookie of the Year in 1996, but he also won his first World Series as the Yankees defeated the Braves in six games.
That is quite the comparison for someone who has not played an entire season in the majors yet.
