Corbin Carroll Continues Historic Rookie Year

Arizona Diamondbacks Corbin Carroll (7) celebrates with his teammates after his 50th stolen base of his rookie season against the San Francisco Giants in the third inning at Chase Field in Phoenix on Sept. 20, 2023.

Corbin Carrol cannot stop making history in his stellar rookie year, he just became the first rookie ever with a 25/50 season. In today’s game Carroll swiped his 50th bag on the year, and he also has hit his 24 home runs.

Carroll is a lock to win the Rookie of the Year award and there is no one that has a chance. The Diamondbacks rookie outfielder has been the favorite for the award all year long, and won’t take his foot off the pedal. No matter where you look, you can’t find anyone, even close to Carroll odds wise.

Carroll is the first rookie in MLB history to record 50 stolen bases and 20+ homers. The Diamondbacks fan base also couldn’t be more thrilled to hear about Carrolls accomplishment. Arizona fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement, saying how they “can’t wait to see what he does in his sophomore season,” also how pumped they are for the future with Carroll.

When the Diamondbacks outfielder wins the award, he will be the first Diamondback player in the franchises history to do so. Corbin Carroll is destined to be great. In fact, right now in todays game against the Giants (9/20), he is 4/4 with a homer. As I’m writing this, Carroll just keeps proving his greatness. So it is actually no longer 24/50. He is the only rookie in MLB history to record a 25/50 season.
