Arizona State and Arizona could likely be gone from the Pac-12 and headed to the Big 12 informally as soon as tomorrow.

According to the agenda, they will be meeting “for possible legal advice and discussion regarding university athletics,” which highly indicates the move is on the way.
If agreed upon, the Big 12 would need to make a public vote to accept the schools, which would likely be Friday if all goes according to plan tomorrow.
ABOR also met yesterday and quickly went into an executive session. No one is saying what actually happened during it, but there is a lot of speculation that it was about realignment.
We spoke with ASU athletic director Ray Anderson earlier today, and he did not seem committed to the Pac anymore. Several reports today have indicated that it’s only a matter of time before a move is made, and now the time appears to be tomorrow.
A big question is if Utah is onboard as well, but they likely should be to get the conference to 16 schools. It would make no sense for them not to move with Arizona and Arizona State.
