There were reports earlier in the offseason suggesting that Paul was going to be shopped this offseason. With all the speculation going around, now it’s official that Paul has been waived.
During his run with the Suns, Paul has helped take them to an NBA Finals and helped turn the culture around into a winning organization. Now with new owner Mat Ishbia in charge, it seems like Ishbia is getting an all-around new team to contend with next season.
There have been reports as well that the Suns would be interested in free agents Kyrie Irving and Fred VanVleet in the offseason. Even with Scoot Henderson possibly getting drafted by the Hornets, a guard like Terry Rozier could also make sense for the Suns.
