Paul has been with the Suns over the past 4 seasons and helped get the organization to their second-ever championship game, but now with Paul turning 38 years old and making $30.8 million dollars, the Suns are working with the 18-time veteran to see what moves they can make.
All options are on the table as the Suns could seek trade partners, the Suns could in fact still waive him, as well as still keep him around.
The ongoing thing here is the Suns are trying to get out of the $30.8 million dollars that they owe going into next season in hopes to build the roster around the remainder of the team.
There have been reports this past season that the Suns have been interested in Free-agent guards Kyrie Irving and Fred VanVleet. They’ve been looking to get younger at the position for some time now and it could start this upcoming season.
