Chris Paul Gets Candid Talking About How Not Winning a NBA Title Has Affected Those Close to Him

Chris Paul is one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. He’s a 12x all-star, all-star game MVP, 11x All-NBA player, 9x defensive team member, Rookie of the Year, 5x assists leader, 6x steals leader, and is on the 75th-anniversary team.

However, outside of all those accomplishments and being looked upon as a top 5-point guard of all time, he still doesn’t have the one thing that pundits always remind him of. A championship trophy.

He got close a couple of times when he was on the Houston Rockets when they lost in Game 7 to the Golden State Warriors after he got hurt in Game 5 with the Rockets leading the series 3-2.

He also had a chance back in 2020-21 when the Phoenix Suns made the Finals and were up 2-0 before Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks came back and won the series 4-2.

It’s the one accolade that Paul has yet to get and he went on Ryan Clark’s podcast “The Pivot” and talked about not only how it has affected him, but how much that affects his daughter at school.

On top of what his daughter has to go through hearing about championships, Paul has also been at the center of trade talks this offseason. There have been reports that have speculated that the Suns could be looking to get younger at the position with Paul at the age of 38 years old and them bringing in a new head coach.

However, there have also been reports that the Suns plan to retain Paul this upcoming season given the severity of his contract and how it wouldn’t necessarily be easy to replace a guy like Paul within this offense.

Frank Vogel on Deandre Ayton: “I Think He Can Be One of The Best Centers in The League”

It’s hard to win an NBA championship. It’s even harder to have to hear your daughter’s friends at school constantly remind her how much you haven’t won.

Hopefully, the time comes when Paul’s daughter has something to say at the end of the 2023-24 season that will quiet all the haters at school.
