With nearly 43 thousand in attendance, Tommy Henry provided five solid innings against one of the best home teams in baseball. Henry, who entered the game with a 5.00 ERA, allowed just two runs, both solo shots, in his impressive start. He was credited with the win after leaving the game with a 3-2 lead.

From there, it was the Diamondbacks offense that continued to provide more and more insurance runs. As seen throughout the season, the D-backs continued to answer back, refusing to let their foot off the gas.

More specifically, it was Lourdes Gurriel Jr. who provided yet another massive offensive boost. Gurriel Jr. extended his hitting streak to 15 games with four hits on the night. His batting average now stands at .321 on the season, leading the team by a wide margin.

Gurriel Jr. was just a triple shy of the cycle.

The Diamondbacks are now eight games above .500, their widest margin on the year. Additionally, they have won eight of their last ten and continue to roll through a difficult road stretch.

Now, just one game behind the Dodgers for first place in the NL West, it will be Ryne Nelson taking the mound for the D-backs on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3:40 PM.
