It was not pretty, from the first whistle to tipoff the second half, the Suns looked completely outmatched in their Game One contest against the #1 seeded Denver Nuggets.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! While the offense did its fair share of work, the defense struggled to force any stops, resulting in the Nuggets putting up 125 in the blowout.
Surprisingly, it was not the Suns’ bench that killed them; this time, however, it was the starters that could not compete against Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon. The Nuggets’ main big three combined for 81 points.
Jokic alone had more offensive rebounds, and Jamal Murray made more 3s than the entire Suns’ roster.
Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton ended the game with a +/- of -21, while Kevin Durant was right beside him with a -20.
As a result, fans across the valley have been left in panic mode…

The lack of second-chance opportunities created by grabbing offensive rebounds is what separated the Nuggets from the Suns. Nikola Jokic has the same amount of offensive rebounds as the Suns' team, contributing greatly to the dominant victory tonight.

Unless you are Skip Bayless, who still has faith in the Suns to comeback and win the series.
Good: The Suns just got embarrassed in Game 1. THEY WILL WAKE UP AND RESPOND, ESPECIALLY ON DEFENSE AND ON THE BOARDS.

Phoenix will have a chance to bounce back on Monday at 7 p.m., once again in the mile-high city.
