Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Zac Gallen could not have been better on the mound, as he picked up right where he left off last season. Gallen threw seven shutout innings, striking out 11 and allowing just three hits. A tremendous performance against a Brewers team that entered tonight with a national league-best 7-2 record.
The D-backs struck early after a leadoff double from Ketel Marte, which managed to hug the foul line. Josh Rojas then followed this up with a base hit up the middle to put a run on the board before an out was recorded.
Christian Walker added some insurance runs with a two-run bomb in the fifth inning. It was his second home run of the season, giving Arizona a 3-0 lead.

Nick Ahmed had himself a three-hit night, including a beautiful bunt down the third base line. Ahmed now has nine hits over the past five games, including three multi-hit nights in the past week.
Andrew Chafin closed out the game, and he was absolutely lights out. Chafin took the mound in the ninth and struck out the Brewers 9-1-2 hitters to finish off an all around spectacular pitching performance from the D-backs staff.
The Diamondbacks now have the chance to secure a series victory tomorrow night at 6:40.
