Both Oregon and Arizona State could move into the bubble win a victory tonight. With the early losses of powerhouses North Carolina and Michigan, there is a bigger door for both the Ducks of Oregon and the Arizona State Sun Devils.

As of this morning’s ESPN Bracketology prediction, ASU is the last team in after last nights victory.

Arizona State’s Chances to Dance..

The in state rivalry that is as strong as any. In the last match up the Sun Devils season hopes of a Tournament birth was given by a heave from beyond half court.

Last night, after beating Oregon State the night before, Arizona State got a huge win over USC. Tonights game would be an exclamation point to the selection committee.

ASU is 22-11 thus far on the season, 11-9 in conference play and for those that are familiar, they are 9-10 against Quad 1 and 2 combined.

Arizona State is ranked 53rd in the nation in defensive efficiency. While only ranking 248th in offensive efficiency. About 40% of their field goals are behind the arc, if they shoot confidently and knock down shots they can hang with anyone.

Pac-12 Tournament Implications

Arizona has been a top 10 team all season, dominating opponents. The Wildcats are projected to be a number 2 seed in the Tournament come Sunday.

Winning the Pac-12 Tournament might bump them up to a 1 seed depending on how the cards fall with other projected number 1 seeds.

Tonight ASU has a chance to solidify their place in the tournament.
