Sun Devils’ Chance to Dance into March

Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

After an amazing start to the season, the Arizona State Sun Devils hit a rough patch mid season. Now with 5 games left in the regular season, the Sun Devils have climbed back into the bubble talk. They have two ways they can squeeze into the tourney, which is why they call it madness.

Tonight is Huge for Arizona State

Currently on a two game win streak, ASU will take on Colorado tonight. With only 5 games left the Sun Devils need every win they can get.

Especially because the last three games of the season are to the top of the conference; UCLA, Arizona, and USC. Tonight’s game and Saturday’s game against Utah is no where near an automatic win either.

However these two games are what they call must wins. They would presumedly need to win these next two and take down either UCLA or Arizona to get a bid with winning the Pac-12 tourney.

Two ways Sun Devils Dance

As just mentioned, by winning 3 out of the last 5 with one being against UCLA or Arizona would definitely sway the committee. If somehow, someway the Sun Devils can win 4 out of these last 5, their case should be solid.

Still in winning 4 out of these last 5, the Sun Devils would need to win at least one or two games in the Pac-12 tourney to further more prove they are worthy.

The other way of course, is to win the Pac-12 tourney. As the winner of every conference tournament gets an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
