Phoenix Suns rookie Ryan Dunn, who was named a NBA Castrol Rising Stars injury replacement, found out what team he will be playing on and what NBA legend honorary coach chose him for the event.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Golden State Warriors legend and NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin picked Dunn along with six other rookies and sophomores from a pool of 21 players. Mullin’s other selections were Stephon Castle, Zach Edey, Keyonte George, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Dalton Knecht and Jaylen Wells.
Mullin’s ‘Run TMC’ co-stars, Mitch Richmond and Tim Hardaway Sr., were the other two honorary coaches. Longtime NBA journeyman Jeremy Lin is the coach for the G League Rising Stars team.

Dunn was originally snubbed as a Rising Stars selection, but Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain underwent a season-ending surgery, opening the doors for Dunn to participate in the event.
The Castrol Rising Stars event, a four-team tournament, takes place on Friday, Feb. 14, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT. The winning team will compete in the revamped NBA All-Star Game, a similar four-team tournament.
