PHOENIX — Corbin Carroll’s latest career milestone puts him in a club of his own and continues to cement him as the franchise face the Arizona Diamondbacks hoped he would become.

Carroll hit his 100th career home run against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, hitting a 390-foot opposite-field homer to left field in the bottom of the eighth inning. The homer helped cut the Rockies’ lead to two in a 6-4 game, but ultimately, the Diamondbacks couldn’t mount a comeback.
Outside of the loss, the All-Star’s 100th homer now makes him the lone player in MLB history with 100-plus home runs, 50-plus triples and 100-plus stolen bases in his first 650 games. He reached those marks in just 606 games, making him the third-fastest player to reach 100 home runs and 50 triples, behind only Joe DiMaggio and Lou Gehrig.

Those numbers are more than just personal accomplishments. Since arriving in 2022, Carroll has consistently added to his résumé while helping put the Snakes in better positions to remain competitive. As the club’s No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft, the D-Backs viewed him as a possible star who could eventually lead the club to success.
That’s come to fruition and then some.
One hundred career home runs, leading active players in triples and breaking franchise records are all indicative of that — and he’s only in his fourth full season. He’s not chasing records; they’re coming to him through hard work, consistency and the development of the centerpiece the Diamondbacks always believed he could be.

And that’s what makes this milestone bigger than one home run.
Carroll is becoming the kind of player whose accomplishments are starting to define an era of Diamondbacks baseball.
