Not even 24 hours after the Phoenix Suns lost a disappointing road game to the Atlanta Hawks, fans are overjoyed as the Suns made a move to get long-coveted center Nick Richards from the Charlotte Hornets for Josh Okogie and multiple second-round picks.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Phoenix center Jusuf Nurkic lost his spot in the rotation amidst being shopped by the team. In turn, Mason Plumlee and Oso Ighodaro split time as starting centers. Understandably, production from the Suns’ frontcourt dwindled. Acquiring Richards not only addresses those center position problems, but pleases Suns fans that were desperate for any change.
Here is was fans had to say across social media:
I’m so excited about Nick Richards sliding into this offense.
Look at the kind of the athlete this guy is. Next to KD and Book when they get doubled so often too…

Last season Nick Richards had more dunks (120) than Nurkic and Plumlee combined (100) in 1000 fewer minutes.

I think Nick Richards is still probably a bottom tier starting center, but that is still a massive improvement for the Suns since the bar is in the ground. https://t.co/xKjyPzuQHm
