ASU’s Raleek Brown controlled the ground game throughout, finishing with 255 rushing yards against the Buffaloes and securing the most in program history in a road game. He had one rushing touchdown, an 88-yard score.
The Sun Devils held the Buffaloes scoreless in the second and fourth quarters, with Keyshaun Elliott recording two sacks and five tackles to keep CU from gaining momentum.

While the the offense showed out against Colorado, the defense stuttered. ASU had four turnovers in the win, something head coach Kenny Dillingham wasn’t happy about post-game.
“You can’t lose the turnover battle 4-1,” Dillingham said, according to Devils Digest. “You’re gonna win five percent of your games if not less… So one, that’s gotta get cleaned up before next week.”

Despite an 8-3 record, Arizona State still has work to do before it has a chance to defend its Big 12 title. With BYU’s win over Cincinnati, the Sun Devils will need more than a win next Friday to secure their place.
If ASU wins, these scenarios must also happen: BYU loses to UCF, or Texas Tech loses at West Virginia and Utah loses at Kansas.
The Sun Devils won’t control their destiny going into the final week of the regular season, but will have a chance to finish out strong after a year plagued by injuries.
