The former Arizona State Sun Devils running back was drafted in the 4th round in the 2025 draft to the Big Apple and has already helped changed the culture. Skattebo just pulled off a career performance against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. On XX carries, the 23-year-old ran for 98 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns in New York’s 34-17 win over Philadelphia. Thursday was his first multiple touchdown game in the NFL, a marked he achieved a total of nine times his senior year as a Sun Devil.

Skattebo has career night on Thursday Night Football:

Through the past few weeks, Skattebo has earned the starting role for the Giants. He went from 13 carries in the first two weeks to 40 in Week 4 and 5. Thursday Night is just the continuation of the Skattebo’s rise into superstardom in one of the biggest markets in the NFL.

Ever since his sensational season year at ASU, Skattebo has faced concerns on whether his game would translate to the league. At 5’11 without breakaway speed, Skattebo was seen as a throwback halfback that lacks the agility to play in today’s game. However, that narrative has quickly died, as Skattebo has New York 2-1 in the team’s last three games.
