Durant was at the fest at a live panel when news broke of his trade. Fans quickly showed him images of the news, with Durant asking if it was real. When asked by the host for initial reaction, Durant said, “We’re going to see, man.”

Kay Adams from the Up & Adams show spoke to Durant afterwards and asked him how it felt to find out about the trade. Durant said it was crazy and that anything could happen.

“Being part of the Houston Rockets, I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “[A] crazy last couple of weeks, but I’m glad it’s over with.”

Adams asked Durant what message he had for Suns fans following the trade. Durant said he will remember his time in Phoenix, hopes they can move on from this chapter and wishes them luck.

“They wanted me to go,” said Durant. “So I’m glad they got what they wanted and I got what I wanted.”
