It was a back-and-forth contest between Arizona and Colorado, but the Snakes were able to get the best of the Rockies. Eugenio Suárez, Ketel Marte, and Ildemaro Vargas led the charge for the D-Backs, as they had a combined 10 hits and eight runs brought in for Arizona. Ketel Marte continued his all-star campaign as he hit a three-run home run along with two doubles against Colorado.

Friday night was highlighted by Eugenio Suárez hitting two home runs on for the D-Backs, including his 300th career home run. These are the moments that are propelling Suárez to a possible MLB All-Star Game bid.

Zac Gallen didn’t have his best stuff as baseballs were flying out of Coors Field. Gallen gave up seven earned runs on 10 hits and only five innings pitched. The bullpen for Arizona held strong though, as only one earned run on two hits was allowed the rest of the day once Gallen was pulled. The D-Backs were able to come out on top as their offense kept up the consistency and defeated the Rockies by a score of 14-8.
