Yesterday had its remarkable moments for the Diamondbacks, including Eugenio Suárez hitting his 300th home run. Ketel Marte and Ildemaro Vargas helped lead the way for these D-Backs as well. The Snakes will look to continue riding this wave of offensive consistency and secure another series win.

Saturday’s mound matchups:
Merrill Kelly will seek to continue his above-average season so far. Coming into Saturday night, Kelly has a 6-3 record with a 3.41 ERA. He was only able to go five innings while giving up four earned runs on seven hits to the San Diego Padres in his last start, though Kelly pitched six and seven innings without allowing a run in the other two previous outings so far in June.

Colorado will be having Carson Palmquist on the mound tonight. Palmquist made his MLB Debut against the Arizona Diamondbacks this year back on May 16th. Palmquist was only able to get through four innings while allowing five earned runs on six hits. So far in the 2025 season, Palmquist has a 0-4 record with a 7.76 ERA.

Coors Field is a hitter’s park and last night showed that Colorado realizes they have to utilize that if they want to compete. If the D-Backs keep up their momentum at the plate though, the Rockies might be in for a long night again. First pitch at Coors Field is at 6:10 p.m. PT.
