History was made on Saturday night as Eugenio Suárez hit four home runs in one game, as he was the 19th in MLB history to do so.
Suárez joins a list of players that has hit four home runs in a game, but lose in the process. He joins the likes of Bob Horner in 1986 as he lost a game playing for Atlanta over the Montreal Expos. The other was Ed Delahanty all the way back in 1896, when the Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Chicago Cubs.
The D-Backs were fortunate to see Suárez get on a hot streak early in the season, as he homered five times in his first five games. His presence at the plate has since calmed down as the season went on, but his run on Saturday night will be recognized for years to come.

Historical night for the Arizona Diamondbacks:
The last time a player hit four homeruns was J.D. Martinez, and he did so back on September 4th, 2017. Not only did Suarez do the same feat in a D-Backs uniform, they both wore the same number.
The last two 4-homer games belong to the Arizona @Dbacks … who both wore the No. 28 ????

Moments like these happen once in a lifetime. Even with a loss in Saturday night’s matchup, these nights they can build off of. It is interesting how it all came to be for the Snakes. It reminded me of this quote from Rod Serling during the Twilight Zone’s intro, “It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.”

Suárez will look to build on his historical game, as the D-Backs look to break a four game losing streak on Sunday afternoon.
