GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals get much-needed veteran leadership to block for its franchise quarterback. Tackle Kelvin Beachum announced on his X account on Friday that he is resigning with Arizona on a one-year deal. The 14-year pro is returning to the Valley for his fifth season with the Cardinals blocking for Kyler Murray. In his tenure with the franchise, he’s started in 33 games, including 12 games last year, allowing four sacks and nine total pressures.

Beachum announcing his signing with the Cardinals:

PFF has Beachum graded as a 64.1 overall tackle, with his pass rush at 75.4, which is 35th in the league. The 35-year-old thrives against the pass rush but is known for his vocal presence on and off the field. He famously said in 2023 that Murray needed to “grow up” and become the franchise quarterback in Arizona.

Murray has taken Beachum’s words to heart, solidifying himself as a captain in the Valley. The 6’8 tackle has noticed the growth his quarterback has illustrated since he first arrived. Resigning Beachum to his sixth year with the Cardinals will help the team create even more continuity heading into the 2025 season and build a coherent pass block to protect Murray.
