A Grayson Allen 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds on the game clock sent the game to overtime, erasing what could’ve been another disastrous loss for the Suns.

Devin Booker led the way with 47 points, 11 assists and six rebounds on 18-for-33 shooting. Grayson Allen backed the Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal-less Suns with 21 points (seven 3-pointers) and Tyus Jones scored 16 points.

Six Utah Jazz players scored in double figures, led by John Collins with 21 points and Lauri Markkanen with 20. Rookie guard Isaiah Collier scored 15 points and dished out 13 assists. Walker Kessler scored 19 points and grabbed 22 rebounds.

Phoenix (26-25) snaps a three-game losing streak and open a three-game homestand with a win. The Suns hope for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal to return to the lineup for games against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday and the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Suns reinforcements aid in snatching 3rd quarter lead

Although Devin Booker scored 32 points through three quarters, his Phoenix reinforcements aided in the Suns taking the lead in the third quarter, 95-90.

Tyus Jones scored eight points, Grayson Allen and Nick Richards scored six points and four other Suns role players scored points in the third quarter to go along with Booker’s 10. After Phoenix only having one player in double figures at halftime (Booker), that number jumped to four heading into the fourth quarter.

Lauri Markkanen continued to lead the Jazz in scoring with 18 points. John Collins followed with 16 and Keyonte George with 15. Rookie guard Isaiah Collier had 13 assists through the first three quarters.

Booker, Suns close gap in 2nd quarter

Devin Booker erupted for 13 points (4-6 FG) in the second quarter to erase a 12-point Jazz lead and enter the half time locker room tunnel tied, 55-55.

Booker’s point total for the half was up to 22 points, doubling the next-highest game scorer. Fan-favorite Bol Bol scored seven points off the end of the bench, including the game-tying 3-pointer to beat the shot clock on Phoenix’s last possesion of the half.

Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George each scored 11 points in the first half and were two of 10 Jazz scorers. The next leading Utah scorer was Walker Kessler with eight points ahead of halftime.

Suns start off slow in 1st quarter

The hobbled Suns without Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal got off to a slow start against the young and spry Jazz, down 30-20 after the first quarter.

Devin Booker led all scorers with nine points on 4-for-6 shooting. Ryan Dunn, Tyus Jones and Royce O’Neale added three points each. Mike Budenholzer gave Bol Bol, Monte Morris and Damion Lee some early minutes in light of the absences from the top end of the rotation.

The Jazz had four players score at least four points, led by Lauri Markkanen with nine points. Their next highest scorer was Keyonte George with five points.
