Phantom and Rose have mirroring record of 1-3. One of the teams will be breaking away from second to last place in the league. The two teams meet after Griner signed a one-year deal with the Dream on Tuesday, marking the first time after 11 seasons she will not be playing for Phoenix.

The Unrivaled pair were only teammates for a year after Copper was traded from the Chicago Sky last February. Copper arose as a key piece to this new era of Phoenix, being named Second Team All-WNBA. Griner did enough to make her 10th All-Star appearance, but didn’t feel that she was a part of the new generation Mercury.
The one-time teammates are already matched up for an Unrivaled showdown.
Griner is Phantom’s go-to big, averaging 14.8 points per game. She is third on the team in scoring and has the 14th most points in the league. Her former WNBA teammate is Rose’s star, leading the team with 16 points per game — the 11th most in the league.
Former Mercury guard Natasha Cloud will also be playing against Copper as a member of Phantom. Cloud was traded by the Mercury for All-WNBA forward Alyssa Thomas to the Connecticut Sun Tuesday. She was named All-Defensive Team Second Team last year in her lone season in Phoenix.
Phantom and Rose play at 5:15 p.m. MST on TNT and available to stream on Max.
