Arizona State has taken a bold and unique approach to this new era of college football. The transfer portal has completely changed the way teams are constructed and how coaches can build their teams and programs. Historically, teams have taken an approach that if you are not committed to the team, then get out.

ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham is challenging that archaic approach.

It a nearly unprecedented move, coach Dillingham announced that anyone of his players that have entered the transfer portal are still welcome to practice with the team as they prepare for the Peach Bowl. This bold stance announces a seismic change in college football and a modern approach to the game by the Sun Devils.

Allowing Sun Devils to practice, knowing they are going to leave, sends a signal to every other player in the transfer portal that Kenny Dillingham cares about his players first, they are a modern program and have a culture designed for todays game. ASU is on the national stage for the first time in a long time, and a bold move like this can be parlayed into years of success.
