Bacon, a Glendale native, can play receiver, running back, defensive end and linebacker. According to Rivals, he is a two-star recruit who accepted the offer made by Arizona State linebackers coach A.J. Cooper on Tuesday.
For the Cougars who are 7-1 this season, Bacon has rushed for 630 yards from 58 carries and 12 touchdowns, collected nine receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown as a receiver, and tallied 60 tackles and 2.0 sacks on defense, according to MaxPreps.
He also had received offers from the Big Sky Conference programs Idaho State, Sacramento State, Idaho, Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington before choosing ASU.
Arizona State has 18 hard commits from the class of 2025. Bacon joins Mililani (Hawaii) High School linebacker Isaiah Iosefa as the only other linebacker recruit so far.
As for Wilson, he committed to Colorado this past Saturday, three days after decommitting from ASU. Wilson was committed to Arizona State, TCU and Oregon before backing off his pledge three times.
