The Phoenix Suns made a big splash this offseason when they decided to make a head coaching change and brought in Mike Budenholzer. Coach Bud brings with him a proven track record of success, having won a NBA Championship as a head coach of the Bucks, and four titles as an assistant with the Spurs. Traditionally, coach Bud has been known as a defensive minded coach and was the architect behind one of the leagues best defenses in the league the last few seasons in Milwaukee. He believes defense starts with a physical mentality that he plans to bring with him to Phoenix.
On the offensive side, coach Bud has been known to run a free flowing system and try to space the floor with shooters. Not only does this line up well with the way the league has been trending, but also seems to compliment the skill sets of the Suns roster.
