Durant has a lot of respect for Olajuwon, as he does for a lot of the greats of the game. He passed Olajuwon for No. 12 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list on Oct. 26, the Suns’ second game of the season.

After playing 75 games this season and averaging 27.1 points per game, Durant now has 28,924 career points heading into next season. Wilt Chamberlain is No. 7 on the all-time list with 31, 419 career points.
Olajuwon scored 26,946 points in his 18-year NBA career. Durant will be entering his 17th season next year.
