The Suns initially acquired Allen back in September of 2023 as part of the massive trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Bucks. While there were doubts about what they would get out of the shooting guard, Allen exceeded all expectations during his first year in Phoenix.
This season, Grayson averaged career highs in points, blocks, assists, and rebounds. He even led the NBA in three-point percentage, shooting at a .461 clip from beyond the arc. Allen made at least eight three-pointers in seven different instances during the 2023-2024 season, this was the most in Suns’ history.
With the spacing created by Phoenix’s deadly big three of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal, Allen enjoyed a season full of abundant spacing from deep, creating an ideal situation where he could excel.
In the Suns’ season finale against the Timberwolves on Sunday, Allen proved that he is more then just a lethal three-point threat with an 8-11 shooting performance from the field, ending the regular season with 20 points and six rebounds.
