The NBA said in the offseason they want to crack down on flopping this season. With one game remaining for every single team, this is only the 26th instance where a player has been fined for flopping this season, per Spotrac. Josh Okogie is the only other Suns’ player to get fined for flopping, and that came all the way back after the Suns’ season opener on Oct. 25.
Nurkić ended last night with his 28th double-double of the season, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds in a 108-107 Suns’ (48-33) victory.
Phoenix has a top-7 seed locked up in the Western Conference and can move up to No. 6 with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last game of the season Sunday and a loss by the New Orleans Pelicans to the Los Angeles Lakers.
