The confrontation began when Suggs reportedly backed into another vehicle while ordering at the drive-thru. Although no damage was reported, both drivers exited their vehicles to confront each other. Allegedly, Suggs threatened to kill the other driver and was seen pointing a gun out of his car window as he drove away.

In a statement released through EAG Sports Management, Suggs addressed the incident, saying, ““I was getting coffee. I was not looking for any trouble,” Suggs said in the statement. “When the man in the other vehicle escalated the situation, I feared for my safety not knowing what his intentions were.”

Terrell Suggs played at Arizona State University for two years before being selected in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft
