Arizona State not represented well in NFL Wildcard weekend

Arizona State has a long history of putting quality players in the NFL who have had a major impact on winning. Players like Terrell Suggs, Darren Woodson, and Mark Haynes had long careers in the NFL and were major parts of championship teams.

This is not the case anymore as ASU players in the NFL are few and far between. There is one player who is representing ASU in the NFL playoffs this weekend.

Rachaad White – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are at home on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bucs offense is very dependent on former Sun Devil running back Rachaad White.

During the regular season, White ran for 990 yards and also caught 64 passes for 549 yards. He will be a crucial part of Tampa Bay’s game plan in this game.

The most productive NFL player from Arizona State is San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. The 49ers have a first round bye.

Will we see more ASU players in the league going forward? Is this connected to their lack of success? It will be interesting to see if this changes over the next few years.
