Despite knocking Spencer Strider out early by scoring five runs off him in the first four innings, the Diamondbacks’ offense lost momentum in the latter half of the game.

Ketel Marte got the snakes on the board early with a leadoff home run in the first inning, followed by Eugenio Suarez, who added two runs with a double off the wall.

By the 4th inning, Arizona extended their lead by capitalizing on a series of walks, pushing their lead to three.

However, their offense subsequently struggled, going 2-for-20 at the plate, which paved the way for the Braves to orchestrate a comeback against the Diamondbacks’ depleted bullpen.

The turnaround began against Kevin Ginkel when rookie Blaze Alexander’s throwing error allowed the leadoff batter to reach, eventually leading to Atlanta scoring two runs in the 9th.

The Braves went on to walk it off in the 10th with a quick base hit that came with no outs.

The second game of this three-game series is scheduled for tomorrow at 4:20 PM.
