This marks Liberty’s fourth straight win after a tough stretch where the team lost three of four games.

Senior right-handed pitcher Gerardo Gonzalez is 5-0 in starts this season and has shown nothing short of dominance each time he steps on the mound.

Unexpectedly, the Lions have excelled on the road this season and have somewhat struggled at home. Liberty is undefeated in away games and 5-4 in games at home.

They are coming off a season of winning just 11 total games and missing the 6A playoffs. The team is now on pace to overcome that and get back into the conference playoffs.

There are less than three weeks left in the team’s regular season.
