Arizona currently possesses the fourth-overall and 27th-overall picks in the first round and is expected to look at bolstering their wide receiver core through the draft.

According to NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe, he stated that sources told him LSU WR Malik Nabers has visited multiple teams, and the Cardinals are next.

“LSU star WR Malik Nabers had dinner with the Giants last night plus met with the Patriots, Titans, Jets and Jaguars yesterday ahead of today’s Pro Day,” Wolfe said. “He will meet with the Cardinals post-workout today. Nabers, a projected top-10 pick, will run the 40 & routes for NFL teams today.”

Decisions, Decisions

Forgoing another year of eligibility, Nabers is leaving LSU after playing three seasons (2021-23) of college football.

As a Tiger, the 20-year-old collected 3,003 yards from 189 receptions and scored 21 touchdowns.

Achieving accolades along the way, Nabers was the MVP of the 2023 Citrus Bowl as LSU crushed Purdue, 63-7. He also won the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl after a 35-31 victory over Wisconsin.

With this meeting to take place, it shows there is mutual interest between both parties.

It will get very interesting with what the Cardinals will do if Harrison Jr. lands in the top three. The Chicago Bears own the first-overall pick, with the Washington Commanders selecting second and the New England Patriots going third.

Being labeled the No. 1 receiver available in the draft, Arizona could consider trading down a few spots if Harrison Jr. ends up off the board. The Minnesota Vikings reportedly have trade interest in the fourth pick, but Arizona could very well just lock in Nabers as well.

Right now, the Cardinals’ wide receiver depth consists of Chris Moore, Zach Pascal, Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Dan Chisena, Jeff Smith, Andre Baccellia, Kaden Davis and Daniel Arias.

Marquise Brown signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency while Rondale Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons.

Arizona has six picks in the first three rounds and 11 overall in this year’s draft.
