Albert Almora, selected 6th overall by the Chicago Cubs in the 2012 draft, made his major league debut in 2016. Over his career, he has spent five seasons with the Cubs, one with the New York Mets, and most recently, one with the Cincinnati Reds.

During his last season in Cincinnati, Almora achieved a .223 batting average over 64 games. His standout season was in 2018, where he notched 127 hits and scored 62 runs. Notably, Almora was a member of the Cubs’ 2016 World Series championship team, despite a challenging 0-for-10 performance at the plate during that postseason run.

Kyle Garlick, on the other hand, was a 28th-round pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2015 draft. He debuted in the majors with the Dodgers in 2019 and has since played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2023, Garlick appeared in 14 games for the Brewers, managing a 5-for-30 batting performance. However, in triple-A last season, Garlick tallied 72 hits and 14 home runs across 79 games.

Following a loss to the Colorado Rockies in their spring training opener, the Diamondbacks are set to face Colorado again on Saturday at 1:10 PM.
