The Hawks have steadily played at an elite level once again this season.
While they are scoring just over 58 points per game, they are allowing 47 points per game. The defense has been one of the best in the state and could be the reason this team makes another run.
Highland has three players averaging double-digit points this season. Their top two leading scorers are impressively freshmen, Nick Reber and Ty Crandall.
The group is not the same as it was in last year’s championship run. However, these young players have proven that they can compete at a high level.

Final game before the playoffs
Highland will end their regular season with a matchup against the Desert Vista Thunder (18-7). It is worth noting that the Thunder defeated the Hawks under three weeks ago.

This will not be an easy game but will further help prepare them for upcoming playoff basketball. Keep an eye out for the Hawks in both the 6A and Open Division playoffs once again this year.
