To finish regular-season play, Boulder Creek will match up against the Sunnyslope Vikings (16-5). The Vikings currently rank as the No. 2 team in Arizona according to MaxPreps.
However, the Vikings did lose 71-64 to the Jaguars just last week. The team will look to sweep one of the state’s most dangerous basketball programs.

Open Division contender?
Considering their success and ability to compete with some of the top teams in the state, Boulder Creek should be regarded as a real contender for this year’s Open State Title.
They are currently ranked as the No. 14 team in the state according to MaxPreps. It is worth noting that rankings fluctuate weekly and Boulder Creek could easily be considered a top-10 team.
The Jaguars have stardom with junior forward Andrew Bhesania and a group of players who can score at will.

However, the defense has been a problem at times this season, as they have allowed over 66 points per game to opposing teams through 24 matchups.
While there are over a dozen teams with a realistic shot at the open title, Boulder Creek is among them.
