Another rumor, according to Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, is a buyout candidate the Suns: veteran forward P.J. Tucker. Tucker has not played in a game since Nov. 27 after being acquired by the Los Angeles Clippers in the James Harden trade.

Tucker, who refers to Devin Booker as his rookie, played with the Suns from 2012-2017, making Phoenix the longest-tenured team the 38 year old has played for.
He appeared in 377 regular season contests for the Suns, averaging 8.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Tucker and Kevin Durant also go way back, as both played at Texas in college. Tucker finished his college career just a season before Durant came to Texas.
The Suns would have to cut a player to make room for the 6-foot-5 versatile Tucker, who can pretty much play 2-5 if needed. The question is if he’s worth a roster spot at his age.
Tucker started 75 games last season for the Philadelphia 76ers, but only averaged 3.5 points and 3.9 rebounds.
So, should the Suns consider bringing back one of their scrappiest players of all time?
