GLENDALE – Training camp can be where optimism meets reality, and for the Arizona Cardinals, this season’s camp will have three major questions surrounding the franchise that need to be answered.

The biggest storyline obviously begins under center. Jacoby Brissett’s contract situation continues to hover over the organization, leaving uncertainty about when he’ll return to lead the offense. Every missed practice creates more opportunities for Gardner Minshew and rookie Carson Beck to earn valuable first-team repetitions. Those snaps matter because chemistry with receivers and timing within the offense aren’t built overnight. Whether Brissett reports tomorrow or later in camp, Arizona’s quarterback competition has already become one of the NFL’s most fascinating situations.

The second question centers on expectations surrounding third overall pick Jeremiyah Love. Arizona didn’t invest premium draft capital in the former Notre Dame star to ease him into the offense. The modern NFL rewards explosive running backs who can impact games as runners and receivers, and Love possesses that versatility. Training camp will offer the first real glimpse into how creative the Cardinals plan to be with their newest offensive weapon. If he adapts quickly, he could become the foundation of Arizona’s offensive identity for years.

Finally, all eyes turn toward rookie head coach Mike LaFleur. Every first-year coach establishes a personality during training camp. Will practices emphasize discipline through intensity, or will communication and collaboration define his approach? Just as important, will his offense lean on a physical rushing attack built around Love or feature an aggressive passing system designed to maximize quarterback play? By the time training camp ends, Cardinals fans should know more than who won position battles; they’ll know what kind of football team Arizona is trying to become.
