Desert Ridge Soccer Fall To Campo Verde

The Campo Verde Coyotes Varsity Boys Soccer defeated the Desert Ridge Jaguars 2-0 in Friday night’s matchup.

Jaguars’ Winning Streak Ended

The Jaguars (6-5) won three straight games before taking this loss to the Coyotes.

Their leading goalscorer is senior forward Spencer Brown, who has played a significant role in the team’s success this season. Desert Ridge is coming off a season where they finished with a 7-8-5 record and missed the 6A playoffs.

The team next faces off against the 11-2 Shadow Ridge Stallions as they look to end the season on a strong note and make a potiential run in the 6A playoffs.

Campo Verde Extend Win Streak

The Coyotes (8-2) have now won five straight games and outscored opponents 10-3 in those matchups.

The team finished last season with a 14-7-1 record and entered the 5A playoffs as the No. 4 seed. However, they fell short 2-1 to the Kofa Kings during the quarterfinals.

Campo Verde next faces off against the 4-5 Highland Hawks, who have won their last two games. The Coyotes will look to further extend their streak and momentum as the playoffs approach.
