The team is currently ranked No. 11 in the state, as they’re coming off a season where they went undefeated until losing the 6A championship game to the Perry Pumas.

Senior midfielder Misael Meza was the difference-maker on Thursday, as he scored all four of the team’s goals. He is now up to seven goals and seven assists in six games played this season, leading the team in both categories.
Kings Continue To Struggle
Kofa started the season with nine straight dominating victories but has now lost three straight games.
The team has allowed 10 goals in over those three games and it is clear that they need to get back on track to make a run in the 5A.
The Kings (9-3) lost in the semifinal of the 5A playoffs last season but fell short to the Ironwood Eagles. They will look to get back there with a different result this year.
Next Matchups
The Sidewinders next travel to face the 6-4 Browne Bruins on Tuesday, Jan. 9 @ 6 p.m. MST. They will look to extend their winning streak here.
Kofa faces off against the winless Yuma Criminals also on Tuesday, Jan. 9 @ 6 p.m. MST. This is a perfect opportunity for the team to end their losing streak and get back on track.
