Bears Crack The Top-10

The Bears (11-4) went through a tough stretch where they lost three straight games, but have gotten back on track with two victories against La Mirada and Boulder Creek.

All three of those losses came while playing in The Classic at Damien to California-based teams. Basha has yet to lose to an Arizona-based team this season.

They are currently ranked No. 10 in the state and have an opportunity to jump even higher on the rankings with a victory on Saturday.

Pumas Get Back On Track

After taking their worst loss of the season last week against California’s Harvard-Westlake Wolverines, who are ranked as the No. 3 team in California, Perry put together a convincing win.

The Pumas (11-4) defeated the 8-6 Gilbert Tigers 77-47 on Thursday, giving them the needed momentum heading into Saturday’s game.

The reigning Open State Champions are currently the No. 4 ranked team in Arizona, as they attempt to repeat in the coming months.

This is set up to be one of the most competitive in-state matchups of the year and a potiential preview of what we may see in the Open State playoffs this year.
