Valley Christian’s Start
The Trojans started their season off with 11 straight victories before this loss. They have outscored opponents 977-604 and have won by a margin of 20+ in nine of the 11 wins.
Senior guard Luke Shaw is leading the team in scoring with 27.1 points a game. However, the Trojans are playing collectively with five players averaging double-digit points.

Valley Christian is coming off a season where they went 30-2 and were crowned 3A champions. This was their second state championship win in a row.
Despite this loss to Clovis West, the Trojans have proven to be one of the best teams in the 3A and the entire state.

The Golden Eagles of Fresno, CA broke a three-game losing streak and now advance to 11-3 with this victory.

They are currently ranked No. 21 in the entire state of California and have continuously been able to compete with other elite teams.
Despite falling short in this one, Valley Christian put up an incredible fight against one of the top teams in California and that should not be taken lightly.
Up Next
This was the Trojans’ first game of the tournament and their next one comes on Thursday, Dec. 28.
They will face off against 3-7 Mission College Prep Royals of California. This is a much easier matchup than Clovis West and could be what Valley Christian needs to get back on track.
